The following is offered by Rev. Joseph Castaldi, Pastor

"The closer a family is, the more traditions it is likely to have. Our Italian Christmas traditions have been with us for centuries. They celebrate the joy of home, of family, and of unconditional love. To mention only a few of those traditions, so full of memories, as we enter the golden years of our lives: the Christmas presepio (the nativity scene), Christmas Eve dinner with the seven types of fish, Christmas Midnight Mass, the great Christmas dinner that always ended with panettone, torrone and roasted chestnuts. Why are these rituals important until the day we die? Simply because they reinforce family identity and give each and every member of the family a shared and necessary sense of belonging. These traditions need to be reinforced among our children".

1) a glass of science;
2) a bottle of knowledge;
3) a barrel of prudence;
4) a shot of conscience;
5) a sea of patience.
* A Warrior's Song:"Life has meaning only in the struggle. Victory or defeat lies in the hands of the gods. So let us celebrate the struggle".
